Fly Draenei Friday – Scary Face!

Yay! Fly Draenei Friday time!  This week’s reader submission is super fly, and yet, a little scary :O Dat Helmet!

Juggsbunny

Dragonslayer Juggsbunny of Zangarmarsh (US) looks like she’d scare the pants off of any dragon she ran accross!  Here’s what she says about it:

“This is my mage Juggsbunny, her look finally came together after a key Sha of Anger kill. Lol. I get lots of complements on it. It’s a twist on the typical Cindercloth outfit.”

Helm: Sky-Sear Cowl
Shoulders: Consortium Mantle
Chest: Cindercloth Vest
Wrist: Earthmender’s Bracer of Shattering
Gloves: Gloves of the High Magus
Waist: Grom’tor’s Bloodied Bandage
Legs: Cindercloth Pants
Feet: Ashwalker’s Footwraps
Staff: Zhar’doom, Greatstaff of the Devourer

This look would be great if Draenei ever get to be warlocks!  It’s definitely super fly, thanks for sending your mog in!

Don’t forget, if you, or someone you know is a fly Draenei, send me a screenie!  I love featuring my readers’ mogs 😀

Here’s some fly Draenei I’ve spotted in my travels around Azeroth:

Bluepaizuri

Jza
I spotted Bluepaizuri in Alterac Valley one night, and was so glad she decided to come defend Tower Point with me! I love her monk transmog so much, I even posted a similar one for Pink for a Cause, but her Stylin’ Purple Hat really makes her look rock!  The Runetotem’s Mantle looks great with the Headhunter’s set. Jza‘s blue and white look is simple, but awesome!  The Sage’s set is accented by her guild tabard, and Sage’s Mantle – which is not actually part of the set. Key to the Planes is a great staff for this look, and the Dreadful Gladiator’s Mooncloth Helm is a fun touch.
Ællai

Saliona
Ællai is only level 48, but she is leveling in style!  This is a great black & white transmog for any level. Silver-Thread Amice, Sash and and Gloves, with Buccaneer’s Vest and Boots, and Aurora Pants.  The Flying Tiger Goggles are super cute too! Saliona‘s mog starts with the Deathbone Girdle and Stoneform Shoulders, from the old Scholo. The rest of her black pieces with the slightest hint of purple make for a great look! Warrior’s Embrace, Bogslayer Gauntlets, Direwing Legguards, and Treads of Crushed Flesh.

Black Ninja Monk Transmog

swords

For some reason, I tend to try and stay away from using rogue-ish pieces in my monk mogs.  It’s a silly self-imposed rule, especially because Draenei look amazing in rogue gear!  So, I’ve decided to stop being silly and make some ninja inspired monk mogs!

Fly Draenei Friday – Silver Covenant

Welcome back to another FDF!  This week I have another awesome mog from reader Simon.  You can see his first one here.  This time he’s done an NPC look-alike mog, or should I say a ‘look better than the npc’ mog 😉  Here’s what he had to say about it:

simon_crop

“Now, I don’t remember much from first entering Dalaran but as an Alliance I sure do remember the high elf guards standing outside A Hero’s Welcome had that one thing that gave the fact that they were battle mages away by simply glancing over at them. By that time, I was a human paladin and and transmogging was not around. But now that I have got my level 90 draenei mage, I’ve done my best to replicate it ^^”

Great job once again!  You can see the inspiration here. The Goldweave Tunic and Blue Linen Shirt are a great choice to replicate the original chestpiece, as both are very detailed.  Head over to wowhead to see all the items he used, including a sword and book to go with it!  Thanks for sending her in Simon, keep up the amazing mog work!!

You know the deal, now for some fly Proudmoore-ites!!

Storminnorma

Zenicus
Storminnorma used the Lawbringer Belt and Greaves of the Martyr as excellent accents to her Judgement Set pieces. Zenicus is one super fly dude in Aldor Regalia with Angelista’s Sash, and the Apostle of Argus for a staff.
Kundun

Kylahgedon
Kundun is another Draenei monk looking amazing in Rogue gear! The Cowl of Defiance tops off Tier 8 recolor pieces. Kylahgedon‘s choice of shoulder here is really great.  She’s wearing Stormcaller’s Pauldrons with the Battleforge set.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s fly Draenei! Remember, if you, or someone you know is pretty fly, send me in a screenshot and I’ll feature it here!

The Amazing Transmog Survivor Contest…

…that I did not survive! LOL

The equally amazing JD over at Amateur Azerothian is up to his craziness again.  This time he is running the “Amazing Transmog Survivor Contest“.  That guy and his wild ideas, I love them!!  This contest is a tad more simple than his previous contest.  Each round mogs must be submitted per his guidelines.  He’ll then pick one person to grant immunity too, and the rest of the entrants are subject to a randomly chosen axing.  He says it’s based on the rules of the show Survivor, and I’m going to believe him since I’ve never watched it 😉

As you can guess, I got the RNG boot in the first round. *sad face*  I love the challenge of coming up with a mog based on a prompt.  Oh well, I can still play by myself on my blog, teehee!  I don’t envy JD with trying to pick an immunity winner, as the first round entrants where all pretty awesome.  You can see them all here.

The first round challenge was to create a Disciple of Har’koa, as in someone who would perhaps worship or follow Har’koa.

I love the colors of the cat, the frosty white accented by an almost-aqua blue.  It actually inspired my previous post about my Ultimate Mog, since I kept hitting those pieces in MogIt while putting my entry together.  So, here she is, the Disciple that didn’t make it, lol:

Head – Titan-Forged Hood of Salvation

Shoulders – Titan-Forged Shoulderpads of Domination

Chest – Mooncloth Robe

Hands – Sanctified Crimson Acolyte Handwraps

Waist – Lingering Illness

Good luck to the remaining survivors!  Watch your back for that RNG, she’s a real bitch 😀

My Ultimate Mog – Field Marshal’s Raiment

priestMy level 60-something priest, forgoing heirlooms to wear the game’s most beautiful gear 😉

When transmog was first announced, way back in Sept. 2011, I immediately started planning what I wanted my characters to wear.  I didn’t know much about mixing and matching, and mostly had sets planned for my mogs.  Purple Judgement for my pally, Marshcreeper mail for the hunter, and this gorgeous set for my mage:

Field Marshal’s Regalia

Imaging my disappointment on that bright Tuesday morning transmog was released, and I was greated by this:

Pretty much crushing.  I picked up the Brutal Gladiator’s Regalia, mogged her into that, and resigned myself to being bummed about it.  Turns out the level 60 pvp gear you can buy in Stormwind can’t be used for trasnmog.  They actually have replica gear available in Area 52, but only if you attained those PvP titles back in classic WoW.  Well gee, if I had only known the future, I would have started playing 4 years earlier than I did! >.>  On the one hand, I understand those titles were quite difficult to attain, and this gear is sort of the last status symbol left.  I’ve only seen about 5 or 6 people even mogged into any of the Replica PvP gear.  On the other hand, though, I want my purple spiky shiny shoulders!!!  I’ve heard that these titles can be attained through Rated Battlegrounds these days.  There isn’t a whole lot of information I’ve been able to find, cause who really is going to devote their life to RBG’s just for transmog? (Uh, LF RBG group that just needs one more person to queue and doesn’t care that I’m not pro, I’ll try not to die too much?)

I’ve been leveling my priest up lately, and the other day I was messing around in MogIt when I realized this may be my one chance to wear beautiful Field Marshal’s gear!  Luckily I had done some bg’s earlier in my leveling and had enough honor to buy the pieces.  20% xp bonus be damned, I’d much rather look good 😀  I also realized I may actually like the priest set better than the mage set, and that I’d finally recovered from my initial disapointment only to have it come creeping back in the form of white spiky shiny shoulders.  So, while I can’t actually mog this stuff for the time being, I do want to share my ultimate dream mog:

Another variation on the set:

Shoulders – Field Marshal’s Satin Mantle

Chest – Robes of the Exalted

Waist – Fermenting Belt

Gloves – Marshal’s Satin Gloves

Well, that’s my dream mog, how about you?  Do you have a dream mog set you may or may not ever get to use, be it rng nightmares or just too damn hard to get?

Fly Draenei Friday – Asuî

It’s been a few too many weeks without FDF action!  Let’s get to it!

Fly Asui

This week’s fly reader mog comes from Asuî of Moonglade(EU).  I love the artistic portrait shots she’s sent in 🙂  Her outfit is highlighted beautifully with Vashj’ir as a background!  Asuî is wearing the Jade Plate set with Bile-Etched Spaulders, Tabard of Summer Skies, Twilight Cape, and the Scepter of Sha’tar. Super Fly!  Thank you so much for sending you mog in Asuî, and you are right, looking at lovely mogged Draenei is never a bore!

Now for some awesome mogs I’ve spotted recently, including one I found thanks to CRZ :O

Dêcadêncê

Dvartis
Dêcadêncê has a nice aqua and purple look going on here.  The Royal Qiraji Belt looks really great with the Imbued Plate Armor and Revenant Leggings. Dvartis has a very simple, yet elegant look here. I love the way this belt works with this dress model, as it’s always been a challenge finding one.
Lightbreeze

Orphyria
I spotted Lightbreeze while CRZ’d with some friends on Lightbringer.  Another awesome use of the MoP belt, and the Collar of Cho’gall works really well with the priest tier 4 pieces. Orphyria is fully decked out in the Replica Heroism set, which is just gorgeous. The Golden Lotus Tabard is a great accent to the set, and grats to her for sticking through the 8 years of dailies it took to get the tabard 😉

Pretty Fly Gifts!

I posted earlier about the Fly Draenei gals heading to Shattrath to celebrate Winter Veil this year.  Let’s see what they got each other!

Drayney’s gift, Ancient Tome of Portal: Dalaran really makes her giggle.  It looks
just like a regular portal to Dalaran, but it sends victims friends to the old Dalaran
crater, after she casts slow fall on them, of course 😉
All three sisters also got a Cinder Kitten!

Draynee was super excited to receive The Hammer of Destiny!
She had been wanting one since seeing the super fly Hammer Toss
outfit from the Mogolympics.  Looks like her new year will be
full of PVP so she can complete the look!

Drainee was so happy about her gift, she put it on right
there in the middle of the city!  The chest, gloves and legs
from the Warmonger’s set have her head spinning with
new transmog ideas!

I hope everyone had an awesome Winter Veil/Christmas and New Years!  Did you get just what you wanted, or any surprises from Old Father Winter? 🙂
