Fly Draenei Friday

A few months ago I posted my first Fly Guy Friday, and I’m so excited to have enough fly guys to post another one!

Once again we’re starting off with a super fly mog by @Khalior!  His Thunder King inspired mog is… striking B-)  He says it was all about making a set with that chest piece without going for the Sunwell glowing ball shoulders.  Check out his tumbler post for another awesome shot of his outfit.

Our last guy that you, my wonderful readers sent in is Khemiä’s friend Onclecham.  Khemiä had her own FDF awhile ago, and was inspired by the first FGF to send me in her super fly friend’s mog!  Onclecham is sporting the red/orange Amani Mail set with Cracklebite Links.  That belt is really cool!  Khem’s outfit is also super fly, The Wavemender’s Mantle with the Lord’s Mail set is beautiful 😀

Leucippus is looking regal in his Conqueror’s Plate set with the Conqueror’s Helmet and Epaulets, and Boulderfist Belt.		Mildelicious’ druid look-alike mog is super cool! Moon-Crown Antlers, Lunar-Claw Pauldrons, Starry Robes of the Crescent and Grips of the Lunar Eclipse.

Jaarodne shows manly man do wear pink!  Helm, shoulders, legs and boots from the Avenger’s Battlegear, and Flameguard Gauntlets.		This fly guy is straight out of the Burning Crusade!  Justicar Armor with the Tabard of the Protector, which was a special reward from the Opening of the Dark Portal event.

This week’s Fly Draenei is from the superb Taureness Kamalia from Kamalia et Alia!  Kamalia had a great plan to get some quest rewards for transmog that are Alliance-only, she went under-cover as a draenei on her priestess!  Now, I’m not sure what grumpy old Garrosh would think of her plan, but as I am pro-draenei, not so much pro-Alliance, I’m all for it!

Her outfit here is a modification of an outfit she did for the Amateur Azerothian’s last transmog competition (PS, I miss that guy).  This version is more accessible for low-level characters, so your draenei can be fly no matter what her level!

Tokahontas‘ red and gold mog looks super fly with her Lionheart Executioner! Tarnished Fanatic’s Pauldrons and Warboots, Tyrant’s Chestpiece and Legplates, Thorium Belt.		Tempést has a great mix of Pandaria and old world gear in her mog. Firebird’s Helmet, Cuirass and Spaulders, Binder’s Chain of Unending Summer, Grunt’s Legguards, and Burnished Gloves.

Hey hey it’s Fri-daaayyy 😀 This week we have a super fun mail mog.  Is it a shaman? A hunter?  It’s Saz!  I featured Saz’s priest a few months ago on FDF.  This time it’s her hunter Metres and her pet April.  Maybe next time she’ll send me her Shaman, since that is her specialty 😉

I’m in love too!  The chestpiece, one of my favorite Cata items, looks awesome with the Shaman Tier 6 recolor pieces, and the gun and goggles are perfection!

Happy happy joy joy, it’s Friday! Hey, this is my 100th post!  Can you believe it, 100 posts about fly draenei?!  How awesome is that? LOL! I’ve gotten quite a few fabulous mogs from you guys lately, and got a little behind on posting, so this week’s FDF is all reader mogs! Thanks so much for sending them in, you guys rock 😀

First up is reader Dan, whose fly draenei is rocking some invisiboots with her mog.  Dan said he was pretty excited when he found these ‘boots’, because so many of them make hooves look weird.  I agree!  I really hate those stumpy short boots there seems to be a million of.  If you’re looking for some invisiboots for you next mog, check out my Mog Companion, you’ll find a category for them under each armor type!

Nicole sent me two awesome mogs to share!  This is her mage Tely in a pretty unique take on the Cindercloth set. She paired the Cindercloth Vest and Pants with the Mantle of False Virtue and Archivist’s Gloves from the HoT instances, and Kavan’s Foresaken Treads.

She also sent her hunter Felinora in some of my favorite mail pieces, the Ebonhold set with a perfectly coordinate pet!

Next up is Cherokee, who left this fantastic picture in the comments of the Submit Your Fly Draenei page.  She is fierce in the chest, legs and gloves from the Ornate set, Burnished Girdle and the Theramore Tabard.

Rounding out today’s awesome FDF is Nora, who also left her super fly draenei Barlafumble on that page (hint, hint, it’s a great way to send me your pics!).  This mog is one of those cool shaman/hunter mashups, some hunter tier 7 pieces with those badass shaman Tier 5 recolor shoulders!  Also, another Invisiboots sighting 😉

This week I have a T-T-T-Transmoggg from Daniel.  That was the subject of his e-mail, I just had to use it as the title!  His death knight Athenastraza is rocking a few of my favorite DK pieces, the Tier 10 25-man shoulders and legs, along with a few DK ‘starting zone’ pieces and a fantastic pair of blue boots.

The Tier 10 death knight set has always been my favorite.  It was pretty epic for me at the time to be raiding Icecrown Citadel and be building a set that looked just like Arthas’ gear.  My DK, Lideyviah, has the shoulders and legs mogged also.  A sad moment for me was losing out on what I will always swear were matching blue boots for the set.  I can’t remember if they dropped from the heroic loot-ship, or heroic Sindragosa, but both of those loot drops now match the purple set.  The night they dropped I had to pass them to the other DK since the boots I had were better.  When trying to convince my guild leader to do the heroic fight again so I could have a shot at the boots he said “I’m not doing that damn fight on heroic again just so you can stand around Dal and look pretty!”  Well, this was before transmog so….  I can’t find any record of the boots ever being blue, so I’m just hoping my hopes were wrong, but that sad story still sticks with me :/

Keelien made me do a double-take, she looks just like Samaramon!  It’s an awesome mog, be sure and check out Sam’s post.		Olyne looks fierce in her Dragonstalker Armer with Terror Pit Girdle. The Gladiator’s Heavy Crossbow is a great weapon choice!

Lenalee‘s mog is a nice mix of old and new gear.  Peerless Armor and Ceremonial Leather Loincloth with Swamp Shoulders and Grower’s Gloves.		Aashiyana is hot in her fiery plate mog. Conqueror’s Epaulets, Girdle and Greaves, Glorious Breastplate, Hyperion Gauntlets,  and Legplates of Blazing Light.

Hanging out on Twitter can be a lot of fun, you get to talk to other wow-players, keep up with blogs, and sometimes even see awesome mog pictures!  This was posted a few days ago by @Khalior, and it is just too damn cool!  I asked him if I could use the pic here, and he said go for it, so I decided to do a fly guy themed FDF!  They are few and far between, and for some reason, most male draenei aren’t mogged.  I managed to find enough for a whole post though, way to go to these players for being so super fly 😀

This is Khalior‘s Brawler transmog, I love the hashtags he included with it too: #saurokstyle #scaley #punchyouindaface. Lol!  This looks perfect for the Brawlers Guild, and yeah, if you’re going to be punching someone in the face, why not do it with giant spikey fists of doom!

Circle of Flame, Mantle of Three Terrors, Cindercloth Vest, Gloves and Pants, and Angelista’s Grasp.		Gorubeza has a great mix of BC pally items here, even though he’s uh.. a death knight 😀 Brighthelm of Justice,  Pauldrons of the Argent Sentinel, Breastplate and  Legplates of the Righteous, Glorious Gauntlets of Crestfall and Blue’s Greaves of the Righteous Guardian.

Caspirne looks ready for some serious hunting in his Gronnstalker’s set with a coordinating Guild Tabard.		Here’s a two-fer! Faruq and Veno seem to be having some sort of important conversation here.  It’s probably about how great they look 😉

I hope you guys have been enjoying all the FDF’s lately!  Sorry for lack of other mog posts, I’ve been feeling a little uninspired :/  I’ve just been tending my farm and doing dailies, it’s a little blah.  I have some things on the backburner though, just need to light the fire and get to it!  But enough about me, this post is all about some super fly draenei!  This week’s reader mog is from lovely Soco at Vault of Light.  Soco has a lot of great tips about gold making over on her blog, along with some beautiful screenshots.  Her draenei pictures on her blog header are so pretty too!

With the release of patch 5.2 I’ve been on a bit of a Troll / Tribal kick! I’ve loved the Vital Raiment robe (as well as the other versions) for so long and now just felt like the perfect time to embrace it!

I’m always super excited to see a fly guy, and Barroll is just that in his Lightforge recolor set with perfectly-coordinated Tushui Pandaren tabard.		Armellé looks pretty in her purple leather mog. Revelosh’s Spaulders, Darkmoon Vest, Veteran’s Dragonhide Belt, and Kilt of Living Growth.

Phuutu‘s look is very simple, but very lovely. Double-Stitched Woolen Shoulders, Crimson Silk Vest, Wraps of the San’layn, Thundercloud Grasps and Crimson Silk Pantaloons.		Nyghtstorm‘s golden mog is beautiful! Crown of Destruction, Triumphant Shoulder Pads, Gauntlets, Girlde and Legplates,with Masterwork Breastplate and Sparkleshell Sabatons.

This green and gold look by Mezramalda is very nicely done. Glimmering Mail Pauldrons,  Burnished Tunic and Gloves, Soldier’s Girdle, Captain’s Leggings and Boots, and Skyfire Hawk-Bow.		Starkanna is wearing a lovely red pantsuit. Red Mageweave Headband,  Mantle of Three Terrors, Disguise of the Kumiho, Red Linen Vest, Infernoweave Gloves and Boots, and Buccaneer’s Pants.

I didn’t catch this Death Knight’s name, but her look definitely fits her class! Blood-Soaked Saronite Plated Spaulders, Warrior’s Embrace and Enchanted Adamantite Leggings are some of her key pieces.		Aì subscribes to the ‘less is more’ idea for monk outfits. Imposing Bandana, Swamp Shoulders, Fizzle’s Vest, Red Belt of Gentle Persuasion, Warbear Woolies, and Darkbrand Boots for that invisible boots look.
